Review of Lieven’s “Russia Against Napoleon”

Here’s The New York Times‘ Sunday Book Review of Lieven’s Russia Against Napoleon, which my brother sent me yesterday.  Looks very promising–and anything which critiques Tolstoy I look upon with a favorable eye.  I love War and Peace, and have read it several times–except for Book IV, which lays out his philosophy of history.  It’s been so long that I can’t remember the details, except that it manages to be complex and wrong at the same time.  Anyway, check out the review.
